Annie Sloan Work Book Launch – New Orleans

When Annie Sloan announced that December 13 was the global launch date of her new Work Book, the UNFOLDED team had to plan a party! Our Stockist Jane Drew of Creative Finishes Studio graciously offered her shop as a venue. We invited all the the Stockists in Southeast Louisiana and all of our staff.  The plan was to eat, drink, play in the Work Book, and be merry.

We were inspired by Annie’s themed menu that she planned to complement the various styles in the Work Book. Of course,we had to add our own twist.  Teryl had a fabulous idea to develop a menu around famous New Orleans cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres to also compliment the themes of the Work Book.

Mmmmm…delicious!

It turned out to be a beautiful display.  I should also mention that no one ate that day (which, tends to happen we we are too absorbed into our work) so we all arrived and went straight for the food.  We justified our rude behavior by saying that we needed food in our stomach before our 6 rounds of cocktails…that is the TRUTH!

Half of the crowd had never eaten caviar, but it was a new favorite. Caviar and Asian shrimp!

We mingled…

we drank…

we got to work…

and produced beautiful results!

I had a strategy. Get my Asian cocktail and Asian food, complete my Asian workbook page.  I had to finish my food and drink before I would move on.

My classical page.  I mentioned above that I got stuck on Caviar and Asian Shrimp. Ha! Ha!

At the end of the evening, we noticed Debbie’s sketch of her cocktails and it was better than what a photo could describe.
